Aurizon Invites Community Groups to Apply for Cash Grants

Applications are now open for the latest round of cash grants through Aurizon’s Community Giving Fund.

Charities and community groups who do great work in the areas of safety, education, environment, or health and wellbeing are encouraged to apply now for grants of up to $20,000.

Aurizon Managing Director & CEO Lance Hockridge said the Community Giving Fund is an important way for Aurizon to deliver lasting value in communities where it operates.

“Being able to help a community group succeed with projects of real benefit to locals is what helps build the fabric of a community and make it a great place to live,” he said.

“We are proud to have been involved with so many charities and community groups across the country, and will continue to provide this support in locations where our employees work and live.”

Over the past four years more than 200 worthy community groups have received Community Giving Fund grants from Aurizon for projects across Australia.

Applications for grants close at 5pm AEST Friday 13 May 2016.
