Network
Aurizon manages and operates major rail infrastructure assets in Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory with more than 5,100 kilometres of rail track under management.
This includes two nationally significant pieces of rail infrastructure:
- The Central Queensland Coal Network, Australia’s largest rail supply chain for export coal, with 2,670 kilometres of track connecting customers from more than 40 mines to five export terminals located at three ports
- The 2,100 kilometre Tarcoola to Darwin railway, stretching from South Australia to Australia’s northernmost port at Darwin. This rail network traverses key agricultural and mining regions for the nation with rich reserves of critical minerals such as copper, nickel, and rare earths.
