Aurizon’s Community Giving Fund – delivering for our communities

Australia's largest rail freight operator Aurizon is calling regional and rural communities across Australia to spread the word to non-profit and charity groups to apply for the latest round of the Community Giving Fund.

Since the Community Giving Fund's inception in 2011, Aurizon has delivered cash grants to 168 worthy community groups across Australia.

Aurizon's Managing Director & CEO Lance Hockridge said the Community Giving Fund makes a sustainable difference to local regional and rural communities.

"Aurizon's Community Giving Fund helps to transform local community groups where our employees live and work. We may be one Company but we are focused on many communities."

"If you know of a charity or not for profit organisation who have projects based on the environment, community safety, education or health and wellbeing encourage them to apply for a grant."

Aurizon works in conjunction with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Australia to provide biannual grants of up to $20,000.

Applications for the grants will close at 5pm (AEST) on Friday 24 April 2015.
