Experience
Cat was appointed Group Executive Corporate in February 2023 and is responsible for the areas of People & Development, Safety, Health & Environment, Technology & Facilities, Procurement and the TrainGuard project.
She has more than 20 years’ experience across a range of industries including transport and logistics, rail, construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, finance and government. Her work has taken her to the United Kingdom, across Europe and the USA and Australia.
Cat led the development of Aurizon’s Climate Strategy and Action Plan which includes a commitment to decarbonise Aurizon’s operational emissions by harnessing renewable energy for the locomotive fleet and electrified rail export infrastructure.
She is also proud to be a founding member of Aurizon’s Lesbian, Gay, Transexual, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) employee network ‘ALLin’, promoting inclusiveness and respect in workplace culture and practices.
During her time as Aurizon’s Head of Safety, Health and Environment, Cat served as a Director of the TrackSAFE Foundation, through which she championed rail safety and the prevention of fatalities and injuries on the Australian rail network.
Cat completed a Bachelor of Environmental Management (Sustainable Development) with Honours at the University of Queensland. She is also a Chief Executive Women Sustainability Scholar and has completed the General Management Program at the Cambridge Judge Business School.
Cat lives with her wife and her son in Brisbane, Queensland.
