About the Role: 

We are sourcing a licensed MC Truck Driver to join our Kalgoorlie Terminal Operations team. This position offers either residential and FIFO arrangements, which will see you working a combination of both day and night shifts. As an integral part of our road transport logistics operations, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, reliable, and safe road and terminal operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and execute a variety of routine and non-routine tasks as directed by the logistics leader. 
  • Operate medium/heavy rigid/multi-combination vehicles. 
  • Handle bulk dangerous goods in compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines. 
  • Adhere to safety, fatigue, and heavy vehicle operating guidelines, including loading requirements and vehicle-specific permits. 
  • Conduct plant and equipment inspections/pre-starts as per Aurizon policy. 
  • Coupling/uncoupling of trailer equipment, including connecting hoses, cables, and other connections between prime movers and trailing gear. 
  • Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Aurizon policies and procedures. 
  • Perform cleaning and lower-level maintenance on plant and equipment as directed. 
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and collect vehicle data to support serviceability checks. 
  • Utilise all available competencies and licenses and be willing to obtain any additional required licenses or competencies. 

About You: 

To excel in this role, you should have: 

  • A strong commitment to Aurizon’s safety culture: “I Know Safe, I Choose Safe.” 
  • A current MC truck license (mandatory). 
  • Forklift and CN tickets (preferred but not essential). 
  • Dangerous Goods License. 
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • A solid work history in the transport and logistics industry. 
  • Proven experience with container and end tipper work. 
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. 
  • A demonstrated clean driving history (records/transcripts required).

Please note that a clean-shaven appearance is required for this role.
