Seeking an experienced Community Liaison professional to manage and implement stakeholder engagement within the Network business. One of your main responsibilities will be to establish and maintain landowner relationships including access negotiations and compensation with affected stakeholders. Your communication, consultation, negotiation, and liaison skills are truly fantastic and set you apart from the rest.

About the role:

  • Establish and maintain constructive landowner relationships including access negotiations and compensation with affected stakeholders.
  • Ongoing liaison with community stakeholders, management of community complaints (in line with enterprise procedures) and reporting of major issues to enterprise community engagement function along respective systems
  • Provide internal advice on external stakeholder considerations and restraints for consideration during project and operational planning and activities.
  • Works with the enterprise community engagement function in the creation of community engagement strategies and tactics as they relate to appropriate systems
  • Establish contact with landowners to negotiate access for required rail works
  • Notification and liaison with neighbouring properties to advise of impacts of scheduled works
  • Regular travel across Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN)

About you: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Communications or relevant discipline
  • Extensive  experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience and success working in partnership with residents, industry groups, supplier chain participants and community organisations
  • High level of effective communication, both written and verbal with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal corporate and external groups, including property, legal and environment, cultural heritage departments as well as industry bodies, key stakeholders, local government (for example)
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Willingness to commit to regular travel across Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN)
