Remuneration/Benefit: $87K plus super

Aurizon is looking for a permanent full time experienced Storeperson to join the team in Gladstone.

This role will be responsible for the efficient running of the depot store by providing material requirements to ensure the safe and efficient running of Aurizon’s rollingstock. The successful applicant will be required to undertake general warehouse operation duties and ensure warehouse security is always maintained.  In addition to being able to think both logically and methodically while striving for continuous improvement and has a strong focus on safe work practices.

Working a 38-hour week supporting a 4-week rotating roster, day/afternoon shift with weekend roster every 4th week and potential for overtime.

About the role:

  • Performing routine inventory management processes, receiving, and dispatching stock and daily site operations
  • Build, assemble and supply maintenance kits & picks as required.
  • Provide excellent service to various customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal and vendor held stocktaking, inclusive of cycle counts.
  • Identification and rectification of catalogue and supply faults
  • Assist with the maintenance of warehouse security, safe operating conditions, and general housekeeping.
  • Operating a forklift to safely load, secure and unload materials for delivery vehicles and the use of an internal high reach forklift.

About you:

Technical capability/qualifications

  1. National C Class Driver's License (Mandatory).
  2. Medium rigid truck license (Mandatory).
  3. High Risk Work class LF License (Mandatory).
  4. Internal Isolation Lockout Training (Mandatory).
  5. Appropriate experience working in Warehousing (Minimum 3 years preferred).
  6. Relevant training in the use of Warehouse modules.
  7. Commitment to additional safety training and awareness packages including Dangerous Goods, Load restraint and Chain of Responsibility.

Specific Skills

  1. SAP knowledge in Materials Management
  2. Ability to work with limited supervision and good communication skills.
  3. Strong understanding of policies and procedures.
  4. Basic Microsoft Suite capability including Outlook, Excel and Word
