Cash Grants Available to Local Charities and Community Groups
Local community groups and charities can apply for cash grants of up to $20,000 through the latest round of Aurizon’s Community Giving Fund, which opens today.
Andrew Harding, Managing Director & CEO urged eligible community groups and charities to apply for the funding, which aims to support community projects.
“With operations spanning three states, we are keen to support local charities and community groups who may need funding for projects in the areas of Community Safety, Health and Wellbeing, Education or the Environment.
“If you belong to a charity or community group that is looking for some financial support, I strongly encourage you to take the time to look at all the information on our website and apply,” said Mr Harding.
“Since 2011, we have proudly supported more than 300 charities and not-for-profits in the communities where we operate.
“This funding all goes towards local community projects, and we look forward to continuing that support in this new round.”
From the round of grants announced in December last year, Aurizon is supporting 22 charities across the regions where it operates – Central Queensland, Hunter Valley, North Queensland, South East Queensland and Western Australia – to make their communities a better place to live.
Applications for the latest round of the Community Giving Fund are open until 5.00pm AEST Friday 27 April 2018.

Having access to these tablets mean volunteers can now readily access GPS technology, take photos that can be used for evidence and communicate more effectively.
