Australia's largest rail-based transport business, Aurizon has taken out the prestigious 'Carrier of the Year' Award at the annual Woolworths customer awards.
Every major transport company in Australia was eligible for the award and Aurizon was one of four shortlisted finalists.
Aurizon has been working with Masters since September 2012, however only began carrying a larger scale of work for Woolworths Supermarkets in September 2013.
Woolworths National Transport Manager Chris Brooks said "these awards promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in the transport industry.
"On behalf of Woolworths I would like to congratulate Aurizon in winning the 2015 Transport Carrier of the Year Awards."
Aurizon's Executive Vice President Commercial and Marketing, Mauro Neves said the win was welcome recognition of the Company's renewed focus on customers.
"This award represents a real step change for the business. To be recognised by Australia's largest retailer as carrier of the year shows that our intermodal business' focus on safety, customer services and skills is starting to cut through the market place.
"Woolworths are one of Aurizon Intermodal's largest customers following the recent implementations of both dry and refrigerated work to be delivered around the country.
"We look forward to continuing to deliver for Woolworths."
