In Queensland, we service the North West minerals province from Mount Isa to the Port of Townsville, as well as the Central and South West regions, and the East Coast corridor between Brisbane and Cairns.

Rail services
Queensland’s North-West region is one of the world’s richest in mineral resources and the world’s largest single producer of copper, silver, lead and zinc. We deliver commodities along the 1,000 kilometre rail corridor including mineral concentrates (bulk and containerised), metals, fertiliser, sulphur, acids and cement.
Other key services provided in Queensland include dedicated freight services between Brisbane and Cairns for a national logistics provider and grain haulage services that connect growers with export terminals on the East Coast.
Port services
In 2020, we acquired Townsville Bulk Storage and Handling, a bulk transport handling and stevedoring business at the Port of Townsville. The business, now known as Aurizon Port Services, complements our existing bulk rail haulage operations between Townsville and Mount Isa.
This acquisition allows us to provide integrated, end-to-end supply chain services for our customers.
Mt Isa Line Integrated Freighter
We have launched a new service to make it easier for different industries and customers (large and small) to grow their business in North West Queensland.
Our new Mt Isa Line Integrated (MILI) Freighter service delivers containerised freight reliably, safely, cost effectively and securely.
