About the role:

An exciting opportunity has become available to be a part of the Aurizon Kwinana Bulk Container team as a Gatehouse Operator, where you will utilise your communication and coordination skills to assist in the distribution of all incoming and outgoing containerised freight.

This roster is 7 days on 7 days off and will see you working both days and nights!

  • Liaise with supervisor to ensure freight movements and depot receivals, quantities, type & ETAs are recorded correctly.
  • Accurately record all data in accordance with Main Roads Requirements & Chain of Responsibility.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately including, dockets, receipts, con notes, labelling & release dockets.
  • Liaise with drivers and yard staff.
  • Compile & distribute specific reports and run sheets as requested by management
  • Use clear and accurate radio communication
  • Updating of data in various systems.
  • Participate in gatehouse operations for Trucks that come in 24/7

About you: 

  • Previous experience in Logistics & Road Transport (Desirable)
  • Understanding of tasks associated with Road & Rail freight movements (Desirable)
  • Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office with ability to adapt to new systems
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
