Based at our Narngulu depot, you’ll join a skilled Rollingstock Maintenance team keeping locomotives, wagons and freight services moving safely across Western Australia.

What you’ll be doing

  • Keeping locomotives and wagons running safely through service, repair and maintenance work
  • Completing inspections, fault-finding and corrective maintenance on rollingstock assets
  • Working to scheduled maintenance programs and reporting on completed work
  • Following technical and operational specifications to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records for asset condition, maintenance activity and costing systems
  • Applying safe work practices, quality standards and continuous improvement across daily tasks
  • Supporting other WA maintenance depots in line with the EA agreement

What you’ll bring

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or formal equivalent - light vehicle mechanical trade background encouraged to apply
  • Current unrestricted WA drivers’ licence
  • A strong safety mindset and pride in doing quality work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, drawings and maintenance documentation
  • Practical fault-finding skills and a solutions-focused approach
  • Experience repairing, maintaining or overhauling locomotives, wagons or heavy industrial plant is desirable, but not essential
