Principal Advisor Strategy & Enterprise Transformation

Location: Brisbane

We are hiring multiple Principal Advisors across both our Enterprise and Coal/Network strategy portfolios.

These roles are ideal for someone with experience in strategy, commercial analysis or transformation who enjoys solving complex problems, shaping strategic insights, and supporting enterprise‑wide initiatives.

About the role

As a Principal Advisor, you will support the development and delivery of strategic initiatives across Aurizon. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll contribute high‑quality strategic insights, commercial analysis and transformation support.

You will:

• Contribute to and formulate enterprise and business‑unit strategy development
• Conduct market commercial, financial and qualitative analysis in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues
• Prepare business cases, option assessments and initiative recommendations
• Lead targeted transformation and performance improvement projects
• Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions to support alignment and decision‑making
• Confidently influence decision makers to deliver strategic outcomes

About you

You will have experience in strategy, commercial analysis, transformation or business case development, ideally in a large or complex organisation.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Demonstrated experience in strategic or transformation project delivery (either in-house or in consulting firms)
• Enjoys solving complex problems and thinking strategically
• Can analyse data and translate findings into clear insights
• Has experience preparing business cases, briefing materials or strategic recommendations
• Works well with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders
• Is curious, commercially minded and comfortable working in ambiguity

Candidates from consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, commercial or finance backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
