Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Yeerongpilly, Brisbane
About the role:
Aurizon is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our Rail Welding team in Yeerongpilly. Reporting to the Welding Leader, this role is responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing resources for maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality welding production outcomes.
You will play a key role in supporting rail weld management by delivering effective maintenance coordination, resource planning, and performance oversight to maintain reliability and operational excellence across maintenance services.
Key accountabilities include:
- Deliver high-quality and reliable outcomes by providing effective and efficient maintenance coordination.
- Oversee all repair, refurbishment, and reconditioning activities within the product group to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance with customer and schedule requirements.
- Plan and allocate resources, including staff, contractors, equipment, and materials, to meet operational priorities.
- Monitor and report on maintenance performance, ensuring accountability for schedules, costs, and quality standards.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to management to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure all activities comply with Aurizon’s safety standards and procedures.
- Utilise SAP and other systems for maintenance planning, asset management, and performance reporting.
About you:
- Hold an open 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
- Trade qualification in Electrical discipline (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance coordination or supervision.
- Strong planning, organisation, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to set goals, motivate teams, and achieve high-quality maintenance outcomes.
- Proficiency in SAP, spreadsheets, Gantt charts, and databases for asset management, maintenance planning, and reporting.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
