About the role: Lead a multidisciplinary team of technical training experts to design, deliver and assure enterprise and nationally accredited training programs, enabling the safe operation and enhanced capability of the Network Business Unit.
You will proactively partner with the leadership of the Network Business Unit leadership, drawing on expertise across the People and Development and Safety, Health and Environment functions, to ensure efficient and quality delivery of training and assessment outcomes.
Key accountabilities include:
Lead a team in the provision of training development and delivery services
Develop and manage collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to conduct training needs analysis and develop training plans
Provide expertise to internal and external stakeholders on nominated subjects, training solutions, resources and Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) training.
Provide education and guidance regarding legislative requirements of training and engage with relevant industry groups
Manage contracts and vendor relationships of third-party training providers
Develop metrics and reporting on evaluation of training programs
Develop workforce plans and succession planning across technical disciplines
Develop and implement an annual assurance plan and continuous improvement initiatives
About you:
You are a dynamic leader with a passion for learning and development. You have a strong background in training and assessment, with a deep understanding of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). Your excellent leadership and communication skills enable you to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. You are committed to continuous improvement and have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective training solutions. Your ability to manage complexity and drive compliance ensures that you can meet both legislative and business requirements.
Rail industry operational, safety or training experience is valued but not essential. Vocational Education and Training sector operations, instructional design and compliance experience is also valued.
In addition, you will have relevant tertiary education qualifications and/ or Cert IV in Training and Assessment
