About the Role:

Aurizon is seeking a skilled Trainer to join our Perth-based maintenance workshop. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our employees receive top-notch training, assessment, and certification in alignment with relevant standards. As a Trainer, you will:

  • Lead and deliver legally required maintenance training and assessments to ensure compliance and enhance performance standards.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of all LR maintenance training content and resources, ensuring they meet internal and external requirements.
  • Develop and monitor the technical and non-technical knowledge and skills of employees.
  • Maintain high-level skills in maintenance trades to effectively engage with and understand the needs of your audience.
  • Conduct training needs analysis through consultation with customers and stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Adapt your delivery approach to various audiences and learning levels, ensuring effective training outcomes and quality standards.
  • Continuously update and enhance your facilitation skills through self-development and best practice training methods.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders to promote safety and learning initiatives across the business.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • A Trade/Rail Industry Qualification.
  • Proven experience in training and assessing within a similar field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize business processes.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and influence others to drive outcomes and personal development.
  • Proficiency in applying best practice scheduling and project management techniques.
  • Exceptional facilitation, mentoring, coaching, and relationship-building skills to effect lasting change.
