About the role: As an Electrical Rollingstock Engineer you will be responsible for working to transform maintenance practices, provide subject matter expertise and deliver projects that will shape the rail industry for years to come.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Organise and plan the technical aspects of complex electrical engineering projects including the design and preparation of user requirement specifications, material and component specifications, safety in design requirements for new and altered works.
  • Develop and coordinate technical aspects and strategies for new technology and techniques applicable to electrical engineering systems and networks.
  • Design, checking and auditing of highly complex electrical engineering systems submitted by design team and or external providers.
  • Organise and prepare the associated documentation, user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, asset handover, type approval, maintenance procedures for electrical engineering systems

About you:

We are looking for an experienced professional in heavy industry preferably in the rollingstock industry. An engineering degree is essential, but your ability to deliver projects for our business is just as critical. We are looking for a pragmatic problem solver who can deliver solutions to our biggest problems.

Most of all, we want you to not only love what you do, but to come in, work with your team to take a pragmatic approach to solving complex problems, generate new ideas and thinking, challenge the status quo and be challenged. We get that work can sometimes be a little on the serious side, so we also want you to embrace the humour and have some fun in amongst it all.
