About the role:

Ad summary: Working as part of the Aurizon's Narngulu Rolling stock Maintenance team, you will be required to exercise your mechanical trade skills in servicing, repairing, and maintaining rolling stock in order to ensure the efficient running of freight services.

In your new role you will be required:

  • To conduct routine corrective maintenance and fault repair on wagons
  • Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications
  • Progress the implementation and application of work procedures and practices in pursuit of ensuring continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems
  • Support other WA maintenance depots as per EA agreement

About you: 

  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Current unrestricted WA drivers’ licence
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or formal equivalent
  • High level of knowledge of functions, defects and fault finding with equipment 
  • Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
  • Substantial level of skill in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of locomotives, wagons or heavy industrial plant (desirable but not essential)

Successful candidates will be required to travel and support other WA maintenance depots as required!
